Due to the harsh living conditions the trophy strengths are less than on continental Europe but it is the sporty aspect of the hunt which makes hunting in Scotland so special.
A deer hunting in the Scottish Highlands is challenging but also memorable. This will remain a lasting experience for your hunting life.

The hunt takes place on various estates around Kingussie and are usually reached after short journeys within 20-30 minutes. The entire deer is completely free and is located in open moorland and in mountainous terrain. The challenge is to stalk different types of terrain and get closer to the desired game on shot distance. In particularthe cooperation between the hunter and the stalker play important role for successful hunting.

A typical hunting day is as follows: Upon arrival at the corresponding Estate you meet your stalker, usually around 9:00 clock. Afterwards the mandatory shot sample is done to see that the gun shoots accordingly accurate. Recommended distance is typically 100m as is standard in many countried in Europe.
During the hunt you are accompanied throughout gunt by an experienced stalker. The stalker knows where the game is staying according to the prevailing conditions such as wind.
If the game is in sight, usually herds with 10-100 deers, the stalker will select a corresponding stag which is suitable in his opinion for being taken. In this case the stalker and you approach the game on the ground to prevent beeing seen by the deers.
As son as you get into an appropriate shooting distance the hunting guide will describe the selected der and as soon as the deer is in range for shooting you can shoot the stag.
After a successful shot killed the deer it is recovered with either four wheel drive or a Highland pony.

Roebuck hunting may be offered in the form of days stalking or in combinations with other packages. There are a lot of roe deer in the woods in the deep levels

We can offer small game hunts for different game species.
The packages usually include hunting with dogs in a patrol of 4-8 shooters.
When hunting small game we have opportunities on pheasant, rabbit, snipe and woodcock.

Snipe hunt is offered with an expected range of 4-6 pieces per day.

Duck hunting can be organised with a kill expectancy of 3-6 ducks. rabbit
Patrol on rabbit or eith frets is also very popular in Scotland.
Rabbit
The highland moors and mountains in Scotland are the habitat of the mountain hare / snow bunnies. These are very fast and unpredictable. In winter, their fur is white as camouflage from predators. When hunting the shooters are brought to the top of the hill and the rabbits are driven towards them.

The import of weapons to the United Kingdom is possible but has to be registered and requires a European Firearms Pass and the British weapon import license. The latter is organized by our Scottish partner.
Thus the weapons permit can be applied for we need about 7 weeks before their European firearms pass as original travel document and a copy of the valid passport and CSEC. Please pay attention to this because otherwise legible copies of the Authority can not be accepted.
The approval you receive with your travel documents.

There is also the possibility of a rental weapon which is charged GBP 25 per day on site to borrow from our partners.
